Friday Inspiration: Wall Christmas Tree

Friday Inspiration: a picture of anything that makes me want to get creative.
I saw a picture of something like this years ago, so it's always been in the back of my mind, especially when I open the many boxes of decorations we have or look at my over-dressed tree...I could totally do this if only I had some wall space...
One day, my house will be finished (we've only lived here nine years) and I will make wall space. This one is obviously tiny, but mine will be mahoosive.

#tbt: Skeleton Gingerbread Men

Throw back Thursday: taking a look at stuff I've made in the past.

I had no idea what I was going to post today (which is sort of unusual for me), but then this popped up on my Timehop. I've made a ton of salt dough decorations, literally, a ton. I used to sell them in massive batches to preschools so the kids could decorate them, but none of them were as cool as these. I only ever made the three which I gave to a friend as a Christmas gift. This is her photo.
Think I'll have to make some more...they're soooo cute.

Monday Make: Giant Stocking

Monday Make: This week's project

I made these stockings a few years ago for the boys, so obviously, it being Zander's first Christmas, he'll be needing one too.
I didn't have enough of the green starry fabric, so I had to make do with what I had in my festive fabric box, but I'm very pleased with the result despite it being a nightmare to sew in the same room as a wondering baby.
I've written his name on it but it takes a few days to dry so I'll update another day.

Sensory Sunday: Christmas Decorations Tug Box

Sensory Saturday: Exploring the world with little fat fingers.

I wanted to make a tug box, but with a festive theme, so this happened.
It's just a box, wrapped in gift wrap, with some holes poked through. I did my best to find baby friendly decorations but most of them need a careful eye at all times.
He loves it, especially the jangly bells and the corners which are apparently great to suck.

Sensory Sunday: Christmas Decorations Box

Sensory Saturday: Exploring the world with little fat fingers.

Since they were coming out now anyway, I thought we'd have a good old mooch though the decorations boxes.
Straight off, Zander was a big fan of the tinsel.

We also found some colour changing light up thingies; a snowflake and a little tree. He mostly tried to eat the part with the battery so they didn't stay for long.

We also had a giant bowl full of cinnamon sticks, pine cones and dried oranges. They smelt yummy but Zander didn't think they felt very nice.

Apparently, tinsel makes a great noise if you shake it.

We also tried on lots of festive hats. He didn't like this one very much and when I tried to take a photo of him wearing a cute penguin hat he made it very clear he just needed a hug now thank you please.

Friday Inspiration: Light up Scene in a Lamp

Friday Inspiration: a picture of anything that makes me want to get creative.

Obviously, as a minature adoring person, this holds a lot of appeal. I would love to make something similar.
